St. Louis -based Wind Capital Group has hired George Knapp as its new general counsel. Knapp's primary responsibilities will be planning and directing all aspects of the company's legal affairs and ensuring maximum protection of its legal rights while providing hands-on counsel to management.
Knapp will also represent the company in all commercial transactions development and sitting activities, energy sales and dealings with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, state commissions, utilities and various regional transmission operations.

Prior to joining Wind Capital Group, Knapp served as senior counsel at FPL Energy. He has over 25 years of energy-sector experience involving both renewable and traditional energy technologies. He has a law degree from George Washington University.
