Brownsville, Wis.-based Michels Corp. has appointed Senior Vice President Ron Tagliapietra to lead the company's wind farm construction capabilities.
Tagliapietra has been with the company for 45 years and has advanced from backhoe operator to senior vice president.

Michels' growth has mirrored that of the wind industry,’ says Tagliapietra. ‘I want to build on the 1,000-plus-megawatts of wind energy construction experience that we have. I look forward to helping our team implement the strategic initiatives we have identified to be able to lead the market in the coming years.’
Michels Corp. has more than 8,000 major pieces of construction equipment and owns 120 cranes with main tower erection capabilities of more than 100 meters with a 660-ton-rated crane.
