Austin, Texas-based SemiSouth Laboratories Inc., a clean energy company specializing in silicon carbide based power management – including components for the wind industry – has appointed Chris Thompson and Dan Schwob as vice president of marketing and vice president of sales, respectively. Thompson and Schwob bring decades of global experience in the solar, wind and power electronics markets to help SemiSouth capitalize on their new breakthrough products.
Thompson has over 15 years of experience in sales and marketing and product development in renewable energy, datacenters, UPS and other high growth markets. Prior to joining SemiSouth, he served as vice president and general manager of solar inverters for Advanced Energy Industries.
Schowb is a veteran semiconductor sales and marketing executive, having built sales organizations and market share at target customers in solar, information technology and telecom Power while at IXYS.
