Thomas M. Carbone has been appointed CEO for Berkeley, Calif.-based Nordic Windpower Ltd. He is the former president of the Americas division of Vestas Wind Systems A/S, and has been an advisor and a chief sales and marketing officer at Nordic Windpower since September 2008.
‘The company has the best team in the business, with strong customer focus, the right product for community and on-site wind applications, and a rapidly growing market in which to become the community wind turbine leader in the near future,’ says Carbone, who is a graduate of Cornell University College of Engineering, School of Operations Research and Industrial Engineering.
Steve Taber, Nordic Windpower's co-founder and CEO since 2007, will continue to advise the company as a member of its board of directors. Taber remains CEO and chairman of the board at Princeton Energy Group, a California-based developer of renewable energy projects.
