New COO At Nordic Windpower


Berkeley Calif.-based Nordic Windpower, a manufacturer of utility-scale wind turbines, has announced that Jeffrey Brown has joined the company as chief operations officer (COO). He will manage the company's operations team which includes a manufacturing facility in Pocatello, Idaho, and a service team in Berkeley.

‘Jeff Brown is a manufacturing and operations leader, renowned for creating efficiencies, providing service excellence and accelerating growth for major corporations such as GE,’ says Steve Taber, CEO of Nordic Windpower. ‘His expertise, combined with that of the excellent team at Nordic Windpower, will help the company to become the quality standard for production and service in the wind energy industry.’

Since 1996, Brown has been an operations executive at GE Energy, most recently as regional general manager of contractual services, with responsibility for long-term service contracts to maintain heavy gas and steam turbines in the power industry.

A graduate of Cornell University with a degree in materials science and engineering, Brown received his MBA from Suffolk University in Boston.
