Berkeley, Calif.-based Nordic Windpower, a manufacturer of utility-scale wind turbines, has appointed Hansjorg Muller to its board. He is the former chief operating officer (COO) of Nordex AG.

As COO of Nordex AG from 2004 to 2008, Muller's responsibilities included purchasing, production, project management, service and quality.
Previously, he was senior project manager at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in Berlin and Dusseldorf, Germany, where he managed international projects, including business optimization for Nordex and companies in the machinery industry.
Muller received a Ph.D. in economics and a master's degree in industrial engineering from University of Stuttgart in Germany, attended Babson College's entrepreneur development program in Boston and studied at Keidai University in Osaka, Japan.
