Windsor, Colo.-based Ice Energy, a provider of distributed energy storage and smart grid solutions for optimizing peak energy demand, has appointed Chris Hickman senior vice president of utility solutions.
Hickman will be instrumental in leading the sale and delivery of the company's energy storage and smart grid technologies and providing utility companies with cost-effective solutions to address the growing demand for renewable energy.

With more than two decades of leadership experience in the utility industry, Hickman has concentrated on grid modernization and leveraging new technologies to increase electric system capacity and reliability. Most recently, as president of energy services at Site Controls, he was responsible for the strategic vision and direction of its advanced energy and demand response initiatives.
