Pasadena, Calif.-based Ameron International Corp., a manufacturer of products and materials for the chemical, industrial and energy markets, has appointed Stephen E. Johnson as senior vice president, secretary and general counsel. Johnson was previously deputy general counsel and assistant secretary of Computer Sciences Corp.
Johnson succeeds Javier Solis, who after 26 years of service at Ameron announced his retirement. Johnson will report to James S. Marlen, chairman of the board and CEO of Ameron.
Prior to joining Computer Sciences Corp. in 1995, Johnson had been with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Los Angeles. Johnson has a bachelor's degree from Reed College in Portland, Ore., and a juris doctor degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.
