Clinton Township, Mich.-based AmeriChip International Inc. – a dry machining parts company involved in the wind energy, heavy equipment and automotive industries – has announced that Kenneth W. Mann is stepping down as interim president of the company.
Mann was first appointed president of AmeriChip Canada Inc. in February. In addition to being elected to the board of directors, the shareholders elected him interim president and CEO. During his tenure, he implemented several initiatives, including improving financial transparency, appointing an independent board of directors, retaining new corporate counsel and strengthening operations.
‘Ken has been instrumental in providing a bridge of stability, which will enable the new management team to focus on profitable growth and take full advantage of the market opportunities for our laser-assisted, chip-control technology,’ says Bill Conlin, chairman and CEO.’ Although he will no longer be involved in day-to-day operations, he will continue to serve on the board of directors.’
