Wind Energy Services Co. (WES), a provider of composite repair and maintenance services to wind farm operators and original equipment manufacturers, says it has hired Otto Fritz as operations manager and Derek Thom as senior engineer (blades).
Fritz brings experience in team management, logistics and customer service to his new position at WES. His responsibilities will include training, safety and logistical management of technician teams nationwide. He was most recently employed at PSA/Hearn/ThyssenKrupp as operations manager.
Thom brings four years of experience in wind blade engineering, instruction design and implementation, plant- and business-level quality, and Six Sigma project development. As a senior engineer at WES, he will provide ongoing technical support to the technician teams and lead initiatives on new diagnostic and repair technologies. He was most recently employed by Complete Wind Corp. in Canada as a USA service engineer, and prior to that, served as North American service engineer at LM Windpower.
