Frontier Pro Services LLC (FPS), a California-based wind asset management services provider, has announced two new appointments at the company: Leo Martinez has been named senior technical director of composites, and Tony Barnett has been appointed senior technical director of operations and maintenance.
Martinez has 34 years of composites experience, including in the manufacturing and repairing of wind turbine blades. He has vast experience developing work processes and technician training programs, and has worked with virtually every blade manufacturer in developing and executing the practical application of repairs and retrofits.
Barnett adds 17 years of operations, maintenance and asset management experience to the FPS team. Serving most recently as asset manager for Infigen's Sweetwater 1-5 projects – where he also held positions as regional manager and site manager – Barnett spent 15 years at enXco, where he began as a technician and grew to manage multiple sites.
Barnett also has authored four turbine-specific training modules and provided turbine-specific certification and training of technicians on several wind turbine models.
