Vestas has received a U.S. order for 40 MW of wind turbine components that qualify for 80% of the federal production tax credit (PTC).
The customer and project have not been disclosed, per the request of the customer, says Vestas.
“Each American-made turbine manufactured supports 30 jobs over the course of its lifetime,” says Chris Brown, president of Vestas’ sales and service division in the U.S. and Canada. “This order underscores that wind is the low-cost energy of choice for consumers and companies that will deliver millions of dollars in economic growth and jobs to American communities.”
