Vestas-American Wind Technology Inc. has hired Torben Andersen to supervise its supply-chain management organization. The company has also promoted James Maldonado from director of procurement to operations chief of staff.
Previously, Andersen was chief operating officer (COO), head of technology and vice president for Vestas in Beijing. He has held positions as general manager and vice president in Vestas China/Shanghai and spent significant time working in Indonesia and China.
Maldonado has worked for Vestas since 2008 in a variety of legal support, negotiation, transportation and procurement positions. Before joining Vestas, he worked as a senior litigation associate for Cosgrave Vergeer Kester LLP and as a senior litigation and transactional associate for Jennings, Haug & Cunningham. Maldonado will provide supervision and coordination for the COO's office in the U.S. and Canada.
