Elkhart, Ind.-based Transhield has introduced custom fit covers for wind tower sections as an alternative to heavy, expensive custom tarps or conventional hand wrapping.
According to Transhield, the covers protect the tower sections from dirt and water during shipping.
Transhield covers are made from shrinkable fabric and consist of three layers: an outer layer that is UV-resistant and anti-condensation, a middle adhesive layer and a soft inner layer.
