BrightQube, an online stock photography resource, has launched a new program that promotes environmentally friendly power to visitors of the BrightQube Web site.
Whether visitors set up a free account, build a storage feature, or purchase images, BrightQube customer activity will result in the purchase of TerraPass carbon offset credits. One TerraPass credit is equal to the purchase of 200 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions reduction.
‘Our focus in the design community is to benefit creative professionals finding the right image for their creative needs through BrightQube's innovative search and marketplace,’ says Lee Corkran, BrightQube's founder and CEO. ‘BrightQube is also passionate about innovative ways to help our environment, and this promotion is one of the direct ways in which we can contribute.’
TerraPass purchases support wind energy projects, including the Blue Canyon Wind Farm in Oklahoma, the Ainsworth Wind Energy Facility in Nebraska and the Garwin McNeilus Wind Farm in Minnesota.
The TerraPass promotion will end May 31.
