Murray Smith of Calgary, Alberta, has joined Shear Wind's board of directors. Smith's experience in Alberta will enhance the board's breadth as it grows, according to Mike Magnus, CEO of Shear Wind.
Smith most recently was Alberta's representative to the U.S. He served 12 years as a member of the legislative assembly in Alberta, and he held various cabinet positions, including in energy, gaming, labor and economic development. He serves on the energy advisory board of the Toronto Dominion Bank and is a graduate of the London Business School senior executive program.
