ichardson has been appointed to lead Broadwind Energy Inc.'s efforts to provide precision repair and engineering services for blades to wind energy customers across North America. Richardson serves as vice president of blade repair services within Broadwind's energy maintenance service (EMS) subsidiary, and reports to Paul Seppanen, president of EMS. Prior to co-founding Wind Services Group Inc., Richardson held roles in wind blade services for WindCom and GE. He also served for 10 years in the U.S. Navy. Through its precision repair and engineering services offering, Broadwind repairs and refurbishes major megawatt wind turbine fleet components, including control systems, drivetrains and blades, in its 300,000 square-foot regional operations center in Abilene, Texas. Broadwind expects to bring online its previously announced megawatt drivetrain refurbishing center, also in the Abilene area, by the end of the year.
