Berkeley, Calif.-based Nordic Windpower Ltd., a utility-scale wind turbine supplier will help raise money during WINDPOWER 2008 in support of Women of Wind Energy (WoWE), an advocacy and educational nonprofit that promotes the participation and advancement of students and professional women in the wind energy industry.
For every business card provided by visitors at Nordic Windpower's booth (#2125), Nordic will donate $5 to WoWE.
Additionally, Andrea Taber, Nordic Windpower's communications director will be working with WoWE to inaugurate a new chapter for the organization in the Bay Area of California.
"Nordic Windpower is proud to support WoWE and the extraordinary women who are doing so much to accelerate the adoption of wind energy throughout the country," says Taber. "We are especially energized by the prospect of launching the next WoWE chapter."
