Nordex USA has entered into an agreement with wind developer Everpower Renewables for the delivery of 25 N90/2.5 MW turbines for the Krayn wind farm in Pennsylvania, plus after-sales service. In addition, the contract provides for an option for a further system of the same type. The turbines are to be delivered this summer, and the project is scheduled for completion in December, according to Nordex.
‘For Nordex, this contract marks a further key step in its return to the U.S. market, for which we are offering the N90, a proven product in the large-scale segment,’ says Carsten Pedersen, chief operating officer for sales and marketing at Nordex. ‘Given its huge project pipeline, Everpower is an important partner for us in our efforts to open up the United States.’
Everpower Renewables is currently developing wind farms with a total capacity of more than 1.5 GW in the U.S.
