Wind project developer Horizon Wind Energy LLC, a subsidiary of EDP Renovaveis, recently announced personnel changes. Joao Metelo will now serve as chief financial officer. He was previously the company's financial planning and controls director and, prior to that, worked in the mergers and acquisitions department at EDP.
Radu Tutos has been named the company's new finance director. He previously held the position of director of market operations for the company and formerly worked for Enron in mergers and acquisitions.
Roby Roberts will serve as Horizon's new vice president of government affairs. Over the last 10 years, he has worked in the wind industry with companies such as Vestas Americas, Goldman Sachs, PPM (now Iberdrola Renewables) and PacifiCorp.
Roberts has significant experience in directing national, regional and state renewable energy policy and regulatory initiatives; establishing policies that support project development and create renewable markets; and supporting sales strategy development and implementation.
