Alan J. Heeger, Nobel laureate and professor of physics at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB), has been elected to Clipper Windpower's board of directors.
Heeger, who won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2000, is a director for Konarka Technologies, CBrite Inc. and CytomX LLC. As a professor at UCSB, Heeger and his colleagues have conducted pioneering research in the area of highly conductive polymers.
