Spain-based Gamesa says it has hired David Flitterman to preside over its North American business – a move the company says is intended to ‘cement its position in the U.S. and to expand the business within this market's sphere of influence.’
Flitterman will spearhead the consolidation of Gamesa's U.S. business activities, including turbine manufacture and supply, operations and maintenance services, and the development and sale of wind farms. In addition, he will support the company's growth within the U.S. market's sphere of influence by supplying turbines to other North and Central American countries.
Flitterman has built his career in finance and investment banking, having held senior management positions at firms such as Bankers Trust Co.
