Gamesa says it has completed its U.S. management team by appointing Borja Negro as the company's CEO for North America. He will report to David Flitterman, Gamesa's chairman for North America.
Negro has an extensive background in the wind energy industry and in the U.S. market. His appointment follows Flitterman's recent arrival. Together, the executives will lead the business activities of Gamesa's operations in the U.S. – including the manufacture and delivery of wind turbines; operation and maintenance services; and wind farm sales and development – as well as guide its expansion in the division's sphere of influence in Canada, Mexico and Central America.
Negro joined Gamesa in 2002. His past positions at the company have included corporate director of wind farm solutions, sales director for the U.S. wind turbine business and division director of international markets.
