Danotek, a manufacturer of permanent magnet generators and power converter systems, has named Ramon Guitart vice president of engineering. He will oversee the engineering staff responsible for the development of generators, motors and power electronics, and will focus on the wind, electric/hybrid transportation and other renewable energy markets.
Guitart brings with him more than 25 years of experience in areas including engineering leadership, program and new product responsibility, and strategic and technical positioning in a wide range of markets, according to Danotek.
Guitart joins Danotek from Converteam, where he was director of engineering for the company's North America rotating machines division.
