CrownButte Wind Power has appointed Mark Schaftlein and Murray Fleming to its board of directors. In addition, Schaftlein has been appointed CEO of the company.
NACEL Energy Corp. acquired a large stake in CrownButte in January.
Schaftlein, Fleming and Timothy Simons, the founder and chairman of CrownButte, now comprise the boards of directors of both NACEL and CrownButte. In addition, Schaftlein now serves as CEO of both companies. Terry Pilling is now executive vice president of CrownButte and chief operating officer of NACEL.
CrownButte developed the first operating wind park in the Dakotas and, most recently, the two-phase 30 MW Diamond Willow wind power facility near Baker, Mont.
NACEL currently anticipates generating an aggregate 130 MW of new wind power upon the commissioning of its Snowflake project in Arizona and its Leila Lake, Hedley Pointe, Swisher, Channing Flats and Blue Creek projects, which are all located in the Texas Panhandle.
