Fat Spaniel Technologies Inc., a provider of monitoring and reporting services for distributed renewable energy systems, has transferred its data center operations to Qwest Communications International Inc.'s CyberCenter.

Qwest's CyberCenter provides SAS 70 Type II internal control standards that meet rigorous reporting and testing requirements, aiding Fat Spaniel's Sarbanes Oxley compliance and enabling the company to scale its service infrastructure while maintaining the highest levels of data security, response time and accountability. Fat Spaniel's services provide information for operations and maintenance, billing and reporting.

‘System owners, investors and other financial stakeholders are demanding the same level of accountability from emerging renewable energy markets that they do of any established industry,’ says Chris Beekhuis, Fat Spaniel's president and chief technical officer. ‘Fat Spaniel's revenue-grade services are designed to meet that need, manage operating and financial risks, and enable maximum return on clean energy investments.’
