The American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE) has announced that two staff positions have been filled by professionals from the nonprofit sector. Marc Morgan joins ACORE as the director of development, and Heidi VanGenderen has been named director of national and regional outreach.
Previously, Morgan was at the Carbon War Room, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the implementation of market-driven solutions to climate change, where he was the deputy director of development. In that role, he secured corporate and foundation funding for the organization.
VanGenderen is part of ACORE's policy team, where she organized a network of regional councils across the country and has built partnerships with allies in the private, public, nongovernmental organizations, and college and university sectors.
VanGenderen has worked on energy and climate issues in the nonprofit, public, academic and private sectors as an organizer, writer, researcher and public speaker.
