Wind Works Power Corp. will be offered power purchase agreements (PPAs) for a total of 80 MW through Ontario's feed-in-tariff (FIT) program. The agreements were awarded for the following seven projects: Ganaraska (20 MW); Settlers Landing (10 MW); Snowy Ridge (10 MW); Grey Highlands (10 MW); Clean Breeze (10 MW); Whispering Woods (10 MW); and Cloudy Ridge (10 MW).
The eight Wind Works projects that were not offered contracts in this first round have been placed into an economic connection test (ECT) with the Ontario Power Authority.
The ECT will assess the time at which grid expansions and upgrades will facilitate the connection of these projects. All eight projects will maintain their priority time stamp and remain in their current queue position.
