Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has announced plans to establish a new research and development center in the U.S. The research center will be operational beginning in 2009, and will, when fully established in 2010, employ up to 80 people. The location is to be decided.
‘We have not yet decided where in the U.S. the center is to be located,’ says Finn Strom Madsen, president of Vestas Technology. ‘But we primarily investigate options close to the large and recognized universities.’
