The Port Authority Issues RFI For Possible Wind Project

0

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has issued a request for information (RFI) from firms with experience in developing wind power generation projects.

Information received will be used to support the development of a contract for a future wind energy development project within the port district. The final contract will designate the Port Authority as a strategic partner that will provide high-value land with a measured, viable wind resource; conduct certain pre-construction studies; address permitting requirements; and seek a qualified wind energy developer to finance, construct, operate and maintain the project.

This RFI also requests that respondents provide an assessment of market interest, analysis regarding the proposed project structure and timeline, and any additional information in support of regional wind energy development.
