Suzlon Group has appointed Amit Agarwal as its next chief financial officer (CFO).
Agarwal will report to Chairman Tulsi Tanti. Kirti Vagadia, who had served as the company's CFO, will focus on his role as Suzlon Group's head of finance. In this position, he will oversee the financial performance of Suzlon Group, which includes REpower, the company's wholly owned German subsidiary.
Agarwal was previously CFO of Essar Steel and, before that, CFO of Essar's North American operations and CFO at Arcelor Mittal Long Carbon Europe. He has worked in several countries in North America and Europe, and his experience includes corporate finance, treasury management, complex business restructuring, financial planning, business development and strategy.
