Suzlon Group says it has added two wind industry veterans to the executive and management ranks of subsidiary REpower Systems.
Lars Rytter has assumed the role of REpower's chief operating officer as of Aug. 1. No stranger to REpower, Rytter was previously the turbine maker's chief supply chain officer from April 2008 to Sept. 2010. He was responsible for production, purchasing and logistics. In his new role, Rytter will look for ways to streamline purchasing, production and manufacturing.
The company also notes that Russell Stoddart will begin as chief technology officer on Aug. 12. He joins REpower from BorgWarner, where he was vice president of engineering and sales. From 2009 until 2012, he was responsible for global engineering at Vestas Wind Systems.
Lastly, Suzlon notes that Hendrik Böschen succeeds Kyriakos Kosmidis on REpower's management board. Kosmides left the company July 31.
