Following its recent acquisition of Boston-based developer First Wind, SunEdison has tapped Paul Gaynor to lead its North America utility and global wind business unit.
Gaynor, the CEO of First Wind since 2004, has been appointed executive vice president and is charged with reinforcing SunEdison's position in the North America utility-scale solar market, as well as growing its global wind platform. Additionally, Gaynor will help lead the development and construction of the wind and solar projects acquired from First Wind, SunEdison notes.
Gaynor has more than 25 years of experience in the energy field and has held senior leadership and financial roles with Noble Power Assets, Singapore Power Group, PSG International, GE Capital and GE Power Systems.
