Suzlon Group has announced that Matthias Schubert, chief technology officer (CTO) of Suzlon subsidiary REpower Systems SE, will retire on March 31.
Schubert has served as REpower's CTO since its founding 12 years ago. Until a successor is named, REpower CEO Andreas Nauen will oversee the company's technology portfolio.
‘In the wind turbine manufacturing business, Matthias Schubert is one of the giants – he
is one of the most highly respected engineers and innovators of his time,’ says Tulsi Tanti, chairman of Suzlon Group and REpower's supervisory board. "It has been a genuine privilege and pleasure for me to have worked so closely with Matthias over the years. His contribution to REpower specifically – and the group, more broadly – is significant. We thank him for his service to us and wish him happiness and prosperity when he retires from REpower in the spring.’
