Proposed Wind Farm’s Environmental Report Completed

Sky Harvest Windpower Corp. has received an environmental report focused on avian and bat activity on the company's proposed wind farm site, according to Vancouver, British Columbia-based Keewatin Windpower Corp. The report was prepared by Golder Associates of Calgary, Alberta. Studies were conducted throughout 2007.

After reviewing the report, Keewatin has concluded that the wind farm will co-exist with the natural habitat of the species in the area. The study also includes, but is not limited to, breeding grounds and nesting areas. Keewatin and Sky Harvest will continue to monitor the area during the summer.

‘The importance of the report results are that we can responsibly adhere to recommended setback distances from natural species when positioning turbines and that we can deploy the necessary number of turbines,’ says Chris Craddock, president and CEO of Keewatin.

Keewatin announced in early 2007 its intention to acquire all of Sky Harvest's issued and outstanding shares. Closing of that transaction is subject to a number of conditions, including the satisfactory completion of the parties' due diligence, the parties' entry into a definitive agreement respecting the terms of the acquisition, and receipt by Keewatin of Sky Harvest's financial statements, as required under applicable U.S. securities rules.
