NRG Systems Named Top Workplace By Wall Street Journal

Hinesburg, Vt.-headquartered NRG Systems, a manufacturer of wind energy measurement systems, has been recognized by the Wall Street Journal and Winning Workplaces as a 2007 Top Small Workplace.

In addition to working in a gold LEED-certified green manufacturing facility, NRG Systems employees receive cash incentives up to $2,300 per year for purchasing hybrid vehicles, installing renewable energy systems and making energy-efficiency improvements to their homes, the company says.

NRG Systems employees participate in a monthly cash profit-sharing program and are eligible for six-week sabbaticals after reaching 10 years of service. According to the company, the 2006 employee retention rate measured 98.3%.


NRG Systems was among 850 small companies nominated for the Top Small Workplace Award, which ultimately was presented to 15 firms.
