Law firm Husch Blackwell has hired Cedric A. Ireland as an associate in the firm's energy team.
Previously, Ireland served as in-house counsel for Denver-based Compass Wind, a community-based wind energy developer where he advised on the development of utility-scale wind projects in rural electric market. He also worked to acquire land rights, tax benefits and regulatory approvals.
Prior to Compass Wind, Ireland was an advisor at New York City-based clean tech company Village Green Ventures, a developer of waste-to-energy projects. He counseled the company on procurement contracts, regulatory requirements, government incentives and corporate structure.
