Peterborough, Ontario-based Gilead Power Corp. has initiated community consultation as part of its plan to develop a 20 MW wind power facility at Ostrander Point in Prince Edward County, Ontario. Once the project becomes operational, Gilead says the Ostrander Point Wind Energy Park, situated on 324 hectares of Crown land, would be home to up to 12 wind turbines.
According to a spokesperson for Gilead, the company plans to begin construction of the Ostrander Point project, which is Gilead's first wind farm, in September 2009.
