Global Energy Services USA Inc. (GES USA) has recently hired military service personnel to work in the operations and maintenance department to fulfill its expanding needs for skilled technicians.
The recent hires completed the Airstreams wind turbine technician-training program and have obtained the skill sets required by GES USA.
GES USA has recognized that veterans have been excellent candidates for green jobs in the industry due to their discipline, and willingness to travel and relocate. Their military training in the mechanical and electrical fields provide an ideal skill set for the operations and maintenance of a wind farm, according to the company.
GES USA currently operates and maintains approximately 1,700 MW with 250 technicians across the U.S.
