Garrad Hassan (GH), an independent technical and engineering consultancy for the renewable energy industry, has released wind farm design software, GH WindFarmer 4.1.
The updated release introduces new features that build on the technology of its predecessor, according to GH, which adds that parallel processing has been used to cut calculation times, resulting in time savings for wind farm designers.
The new release supports the reading of an increased number of file formats and is compatible with most of the world's standard map formats. Support for international standards has been maintained with the latest International Electrotechnical Commission calculation for estimates of design equivalent turbulence.
