Having produced more than 1,800 turbines in one year, Spanish wind turbine maker Gamesa has topped its previous yearly manufacturing record.
So far in 2016, the company has produced units totaling a capacity of 3,880 MW. Gamesa notes that the turbines were assembled all over the world, including India (35%), Europe (28%), China (26%) and Brazil (10%).
Gamesa’s former record was notched in 2008, when 3,787 MW worth of wind turbines were produced.
Gamesa recently reached another milestone in Brazil, where the manufacturer has installed 1,000 wind turbines.
