Westwood Professional Services Inc., a national land and renewable energy development consultancy, has appointed power sector leader Aaron Tippie and national land sector leader Jason McCarty to the positions of vice president. The two are shareholders and board members, and they will continue to serve in their existing roles.
Tippie began working at Westwood in 2005. According to the company, he helped develop the firm's efforts in supporting wind energy siting, permitting, surveying and engineering, culminating in his role as Westwood's director of wind energy. He has since elevated to director of Westwood's power sector. In this role, Tippie is responsible for facilitating the strategic direction and business operations for the firm's wind energy, solar energy and power delivery businesses.
McCarty joined Westwood in 1998 as an engineer and project manager in the firm's residential services group. Later, he was promoted to director of residential development. In 2011, he elevated to his current position as national land sector leader. McCarty oversees and supports national business strategies for the firm's commercial and residential markets operating out of Arizona, Minnesota and Texas.
