Clean Currents is expanding its wind power option to electric customers in the PPL Electric Utilities territory in Pennsylvania. With this expansion, Clean Currents will have the ability to provide residential and commercial customers from the District of Columbia, Maryland and Pennsylvania with wind power delivered through the grid.
‘Consumers in the PPL territory can now switch their home or business to wind power without having to install any equipment, make any up-front payment or change the reliability of their service,’ says Gary Skulnik, president of Clean Currents.
Pennsylvania's energy market is deregulated, which allows consumers to shop for electric providers. Clean Currents' consumers can choose either a 50% national wind power product or a 100% national wind power product at rates currently below PPL's price to compare.Â
