Construction company Cianbro has added a Manitowoc model 16000 to its fleet of cranes. The crane, designed specifically for the wind industry, comes with a wind attachment that allows the crane to maneuver close to a tower while lifting different-sized turbines.
The Manitowoc 16000 will be the largest of Cianbro's 120 pieces of hoisting equipment.
The crane will be utilized for one of two wind projects that Cianbro is currently negotiating. Cianbro's equipment group plans to take receipt of parts later this month. The crane is expected to be on the job this summer.
