Denver-based CH2M HILL, a global full-service engineering, construction and operations firm, has been retained by North Coast Wind Energy, a joint venture between Katabatic Power Corp. and Deutsche Bank AG, for the Banks Island wind project. The company's proposed facility on the north end of Banks Island, British Columbia, is expected to generate 700 MW of wind energy.
The Banks Island project will be located on approximately 7,000 hectares of Crown Land on the northern end of Banks Island on British Columbia's north coast.
