Catch the Wind, a developer and manufacturer of the Vindicator laser wind sensor (LWS), has signed an agreement with GL Renewables Certification, an independent certification body for renewable energies.
The agreement contains the certification of the safety and performance of the installed Vindicator LWS, which can be installed on wind turbines, to validate the functionality of wind speed, wind direction measurement and yaw control. The certification will be valid for all makes and models of utility-scale wind turbines.
The certification process is expected to be completed in October.
