Charlotteville, Va.-based Apex Wind Energy, a developer of onshore and offshore wind projects, has hired Dave Belote as vice president of federal business, where he will lead the company's efforts to provide energy security solutions to federal facilities around the country.
A retired F-16 pilot and former base commander of Nellis Air Force Base, Belote most recently was executive director of the Department of Defense Siting Clearinghouse, where he paved the way for 633 private sector clean energy project proposals, representing 40 GW of installed capacity.
