The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) has named Jana Adams senior vice president to lead its conference, membership and business development department. Adams, who fills the vacated position caused by Stephen Miner's departure in 2013, has extensive trade association experience, including with the Personal Care Products Council, where she was before AWEA, and the American Public Power Association.
In other association news, Chris Chwastyk, vice president of federal legislative affairs, will be leaving AWEA at the end of January. Aaron Severn, director of grassroots and legislative affairs, will take over as interim vice president of federal legislative affairs while a replacement is sought, notes AWEA.
Finally, AWEA promoted three staffers to vice-president-level positions: Liz Salerno is vice president of industry data and statistics, Susan Williams Sloan is vice president of state policy and Tom Vinson is vice president of federal regulatory affairs.
