The American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE) has named new members to its board of directors: Susan Nickey, managing director of Hannon Armstrong; Jim Spencer, president and CEO of EverPower Wind Holdings Inc.; and Patrick Woodson, chairman of E.ON North America.
“It’s my pleasure to welcome these highly qualified individuals to the ACORE board,” says Gregory Wetstone, ACORE’s president and CEO. “All three represent the highest levels of accomplishment and leadership in their respective fields, and each understands well the critical linkages between business, policy and finance responsible for accelerating the transition to a renewable energy economy.”
ACORE promotes policies and financial structures it feels are essential to growth in the renewable energy sector. In March, the nonprofit organization wrapped up its annual National Renewable Energy Policy Forum.
Dan Reicher, chairman of ACORE’s board and executive director of the Steyer-Taylor Center for Energy Policy & Finance at Stanford University, adds, “Ms. Nickey, Mr. Spencer and Mr. Woodson have the board’s unanimous support, and we are eager to add their expertise and insights as ACORE works to accelerate investment and growth in the renewable energy industry.”
