The American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE) has announced four new board of directors members as a result of an annual election: Dan Adler, Matt Cheney, Kathleen Weiss and Michael Ware now fill the vacancies.
‘These distinguished individuals will help ACORE to achieve our mission to create a more secure and prosperous America with clean, renewable energy and continue to be the voice for the entire renewable industry community regardless of technology,’ says ACORE President and CEO Michael Brower, who was recently named to his permanent position.
Dan Adler, returning to the board through this election, is the managing director of the nonprofit California Clean Energy Funda. Matt Cheney is the CEO of CleanPath Ventures LLC, designed to manage capital-intensive, late-stage renewable energy project development and financing.
Michael Ware is the founder of Advance Capital Markets Inc., a private investment firm with a long track record in the energy and power industries. Kathleen Weiss, vice president of federal government affairs at First Solar, has over 25 years of experience working in the private sector.
